How to Choose the Right NBA Cap Size

For fitted caps (59Fifty, 39Thirty), measure your head circumference in centimetres using a soft tape measure, positioned just above your ears and across your forehead. Match this measurement to the New Era size chart to find your exact size in US hat sizing (6⅝, 7, 7⅛, etc.).

For adjustable caps (9Fifty snapback, 9Forty, Trucker, 9Seventy), one size fits the vast majority of adults thanks to the rear adjustment system — no measuring required.

If you are between two fitted sizes, always go up: a slightly large fitted can be worn with a size reducer strip, while a cap that is too small is unwearable. Most New Era fitted caps also have a small amount of give when first worn, and will mould gently to your head over time.
