The NBA is one of the most recognized American basketball leagues. Founded in 1946, it was known by several abbreviations before finally adopting the term NBA in 1949. The league is made up of 30 teams divided into two conferences known as the Western Conference and the Eastern Conference, each with 3 divisions.

The basketball players recruited are top athletes, playing 82 games in the regular season, sometimes more than 4 games a week. If we add up the playoff qualifiers, since 16 teams take part in them, we can add on average between 6 and 30 extra games if the team goes all the way to the NBA Finals. With games at 12 minutes per quarteran multiplied by 4 the number of games in the year, few teams have made it through a season without injury.

The finals are played by the winner of the Eastern Conference and the winner of the Western Conference. Victory belongs to the team with the mental fortitude to prevail, because with 100 games in a year, fatigue is bound to set in. The NBA is known for its high level of play and outstanding athletes. As a result, we consider this championship to be ultra-physical and obviously one of the most prestigious. And why is that? On the one hand, because of the media coverage it attracts, and on the other, because of its players' extraordinary talents and physical abilities. Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson and many others are proof that players with such talent stand out from the crowd.

One question that surely arises is which player appears on the NBA logo in red, blue and white. Jerry West, the famous Los Angeles Lakers player, posed to immortalize the logo, which will be recognized the world over.

The NBA is the result of the merger of the NBL and BAA. Previously, there were just 17 teams, with very little media coverage or contact, and the 3-point line had yet to see the light of day. Since its invention, the game has completely changed, with players metamorphosing into big shooters like Larry Bird of the Boston Celtics, Reggie Miller of the Indiana Pacers, Ray Allen of the Bucks and the new Stephen Curry of the Golden States Warriors.

In practical cases, all the backs in the league have taken up shooting, which favors a much wider, spread-out and fluid game. This style gives way to spectacular play, with dunks worthy of the greatest shows and buzzer-beaters coming out of nowhere.

You can find all the NBA gear you've long dreamed of in every franchise you know. Indeed, the Detroit Pistons have their official Mitchell&Ness cap. Los Angeles Clippers duo Blake Griffin and Chris Paul also have their home or away replica NBA jerseys. And you'll also be able to find all the franchise merchandise of the Chicago Bulls, Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden States Warriors, including NBA caps, t-shirts, shorts, jackets, sweaters and swingman jerseys.

Rookies like New Orleans Pelicans great Anthony Davis and Kawhi Leonard made a promising start, showing great intensity in their play, especially on defense. Leonard finished as best defender twice in a row. Their San Antonio, Spurs team-mates Boris Diaw and Tony Parker have been the two French partners since their time with the French national team. Both had exceptional careers when they arrived in the NBA. Other French players to have crossed the Atlantic include Nicolas Batum, currently with the Charlotte Hornets, Evan Fournier, team-mate of Aaron Gordon of the Orlando Magic, a former Poitier player, and Rudy Gobert of the Utah Jazz, one of the team's best counter-attackers.

Let's talk about Kobe Bryant of the Lakers. In 2016, he passed the torch to basketball's youngest recruits. Indeed, he ended his career with a 61+ point game that will go down in the annals of basketball. Kobe, aka "the black mamba", always set an example for newcomers. His idol was Michael Jordan, a formidable scorer and competitor at heart. He always pulled his team up by making decisive decisions in the money. Kobe is often compared to his majesty "his airness", better known as Michael Jordan, because of the number of double-doubles he scored in his career and the number of points he put up, as well as the All Star MVP titles he held and the number of victories and, above all, NBA titles he won. Like most NBA superstars, Kobe has always kept his team at the top of the NBA standings.

Lebron James aka "King James" is also proof that the point guard can help his team go far. For 6 years, he led his former team, the Miami Heat, to the NBA Finals with Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh. Over the years, he imposed his impressive physique, and on his arrival at the Cavaliers he continued to deliver his best performances, with his team reaching the Finals again over the past 2 years. Even though he played without Kyrie Irving, who suffered a knee injury in 2015. In 2016, the squad is complete and can go all the way. Lebron James' jersey is available in red, white or yellow with swingman number 23, depending on taste. Some 2015 and 2016 All star game jerseys are also available, with Stephen Curry of the Warriors and Kevin Durant of OKC Oklahoma Thunder, or James and Kobe jerseys.

We've noticed that stars like Derrick Rose of the Chicago Bulls and Dwight Howard of the Houston Rockets are starting to fade into obscurity due to injuries and a drop in their level of play. This is because today's basketball demands more and more of oneself in order to stay at the top of the game.

Joachim Noah, Derrick Rose's team-mate, first-choice rebounder and French player, has also paid the price. Injured throughout the year, he has struggled to make a comeback. Fortunately, he is working hard day after day to regain the confidence of his team-mates and coach.

This year, the Thunder team, criticized as underdogs, can compete in the Western Conference with Russell Westbrook, an explosive player bursting with talent. He possesses an amazing release and unrivalled speed of execution. Despite a number of fairly serious injuries, he continues to maintain a mentality of steel to get back to his best and perform even better.

The Timberwolves, forsaken of late, are one of the league's youngest teams, with Zacklavine and Andrew Wiggins among the most promising all-rounders.

Adidas has bet big on one of its darlings Damian Lillard of the Portland Trail Blazers. Having qualified his team for the playoffs, Lillard remains one of the most unlikely point guards in basketball. Whether he's a shooter or a passer, he masters all the techniques of the game.

Carmelo Anthony of the Air Jordan-sponsored New York Knicks has never won a title. A bit egotistical, he's a strong 1-on-1 player but doesn't have a great team spirit. This is reflected in the fact that he has never been able to take his team to the NBA Finals. Air Jordan is also home to one of the league's greatest rebounders, Marcus Cousins of the Sacramento Kings.

The Hawks and Sixers don't have any big stars, but they are structuring their rosters. The Toronto Raptors, known thanks to Vince Carter, also have their own story to tell, with Demar Derozan and Kyle Lowry writing a new chapter in the franchise's history.

Here you'll find the entire NBA universe, with all the shorts, hats, jackets, sweaters and socks used by the players. We also suggest fanwear, which includes t-shirts, pants and hooded jackets. You'll find everything you need in our official NBA store.

In general, basketball stores offer very little choice, but the selection we offer will meet your needs and expectations, combined with rare and unique merchandise.
